Blog #6: MMP Proposal storyboard..

Developing 21st Century Students Story board

The photo below  is a story board for my MMP. I used my RU I.D to come with the six rectangular boxes that will act as my layout.  Creating a generation of tech savvy kids is every teachers to take if they decide. At the end of storyboard description, there is a link to my 60 seconds video.

The 1st box is about the instructor giving an overview of the project and exposing to the learners the different tools at their disposal for successful project. The Space is well balanced and the focal point is the instructor delivering the required knowledge.
The 2nd box is about the students working on their stations to edit the footage provided to sharpen their editing skills. There is a sense of similarity in the photo and more of positive space than white space
The 3rd box is about stepping out of the computer lab to the field to collect footage in their groups. The box brings out the importance of negative space and the students appear to focused on taking good photos and quality videos.
The 4th box is when they are back in their groups to edit the footage and this promotes team work since they share ideas as they work in their groups
The 5th box is about sharing with the peers to receive feedback. The centre of focus is the team presenting to class.
The last box shows students back to computers editing and taking in the feedback from instructors and peers. At this point, they will blog and share with the wider community via their blogs.
Story boarding is so important because it focuses the project and designs. As stated in White space is not your enemy by R. Hagen & K.Golombisky, 3rd edition, "storyboard visualizes the entire project in the form of individual scenes, shots or screens". This is important, just like a house plan before a structure is put up, storyboarding acts as a guide to the designer.
