MMP Update #2

MMP Update #2

As I continue to build the website where students will access a library of content to help them as they indulge in activities geared towards equipping them with 21st century skills, I have added content on the webtools component that I feel is important to them. The tools added with active hyperlinks are Vocaroo for audio recording, Online photo editor for still photos, ProShow for video editing, Animoto that helps them turn photos and video clips into slideshows with ease and Flipgrid for creating online discussions.  These among many tools will kick start the journey of liberating the future by creating a tech savvy generation.
This part also have a section for upcoming events where people who visit the site can keep up to date with the events as they unfold

I have also added some videos and articles on the blog section. Some articles have hyperlinks that connect to external pages and this is one way students can share information easily by inserting hyperlinks to external sources.
In this section students will be sharing there work through posting on the blog. The platform can accommodate all media formats from articles, videos, photos, audio and hyperlinks to external pages.  I plan to have each group have a member with rights to post group work on the blog and the rest can be encouraged to own personal blogs and they can share links in the comments where possible. The group leaders can post photos, videos, articles and links of the work on behalf of the group members. This teachers them leadership and responsibility. It from this page that the wider community can comment.

This website is still under construction and hopefully it will be ready by end of the course unit.

It can be viewed on the link: https://niyirinda.wixsite.com/gayazawebtools

  1. Nice job on the website, Theo! I like how organized it is. I'd never heard of Flipgrid, so that was new to me. I think that's exciting that student group leaders will be able to post projects they are working on using these tools. Great job!
